I have read so many books, especially in the realm of health and wellness, that I have become somewhat numb to the ‘next variation of a theme’. So imagine my surprise when I actually got goosebumps while reading Dr. Rashidian’s, “The StressProof Life”! This very special soul has given the world a very special book.

I bought your book at the Maryland homeschool association fair. I was another vendor representing the Dale Carnegie Training youth division. We met and I purchased your book with some skepticism. After all, how many books are there on managing stress? Too many to count (or care about). Well, I was hooked after reading the first chapter of TSPL and couldn't believe how well laid out your case for health-- was put before me. Every piece of evidence, story, and experience shared gave me insight on my approach to health and my personal lifestyle. Your book made a lot of sense to me-- even on a topic I knew little to nothing about: chiropractic care. I brought your book along on a road trip with friends, who found the book and read a few chapters out of curiosity. It gave us an opportunity to discuss our approaches to health and desire to be happier and live a more stress proof life--- all as professional 20 something's living in DC and northern VA. We agreed we have habits of believing working out, and eating organic foods, and looking great is simply all there is to great health. No mention of sleep, vitamin d, music, meditation, or anything else you mention in your book.
My husband, who is not generally interested in changing bad habits or learning about health, also got hooked on your book. I think this is mainly because you're a good story teller. He's not finished with it yet, but this is one of the first times I've seen him interested in anything health research related.
Changing the way people think about health is what your book does best. When I picked up your book, I thought I'd get a few good stress proof tips, at best. Instead, I gained a new perspective on what's important and what's actually impacting my long-term health. Plus, following a step by step plan to make myself more stress proof has already started to make an impact in my life.

I wanted to share with you something my Dad just told me. I bought Doc's book for my Dad last year for Father's Day. My Dad however did not pick up the book until last week. So fast forward over a year, and I'm on the phone with my Dad and he explains to me that he's got sleep apnea, taking test for it, he's got a ton of stress, he's trying to sell his house and he's pretty miserable physically. So a couple days after his test I ask him to call me and give me his results. At this point he hadn't gotten his results yet so I told him I believed it was stress that he was not able to get a good nights sleep. He said he started to believe that was true and he's not sure that he wants to follow through with the rest of the tests... because he found this awesome book by this doctor that really helped him put perspective on his situation. I asked him what was the name of the book and he said "The StressProof Life". Silly me said to him I know that book, I've read that book who is it by? Forgetting that I had given him the book and it wasn't registering immediately that it was Doc's book. So he says Dr. Amir… And I said Dr. Amir Rashidian? And he said yeah how do you know and I said because he's my doctor, he was my chiropractor in Maryland. He is the one I've been talking to you about for several years that you should go see. He was shocked he forgotten how he got the book and I forgot I gave it to him. Then he goes on to explain, "this doctor is so amazing I've learned so much. I read the book in one day and I used his examples he has in the book and I got a good nights sleep for the first night in a long time." He goes on to explain what is in the book... eating properly, taking the right vitamins, making sure it's organic etc." he also explained he is sitting in a quiet place and thinking about his happy moments of his life, using one of Doc's examples. He was completely amazed how these little changes can make such a difference, my Dad does not get overly excited about things like this. But he truly was speaking with a perk in his voice and really thrilled to have found this knowledge. He explained that he plans to re-read it again so he can make sure that he's gotten everything out of the book. The funny thing is I've tried to tell him for years about the knowledge you have taught me. I'm just so grateful that it's helping him now and he's learning from it. Thank you for all you do!!

I met Dr. Rashidian at an Expo in Frederick, Maryland. He was very knowledgeable (of course) but what struck me about him was his kindness and his willingness to share the personal stories that guided him in becoming a Chiropractor...many of which are in this book.
It is fascinating how the brain and body work together. This book proves that a person REALLY CAN play a part in relieving their own health issues/symptoms. Even if you have a family predisposition for something, there are things you can do to make yourself a whole lot happier and healthier! So DO read! Life is too short NOT to work these ideas into your life!

This is an amazing book written by an amazing man. He will change how you feel and deal with stress. I have started using a simple tactic that he explains and have turned around a lot of stress!! His book is written very personable and from his heart in an interesting pleasure to read manor. You won't want to put it down! This is not your typical stress book. It grabs your interest quickly. Is easy to read and will make you look at stress in your life from a whole new perspective. Stress is a killer. It is even being linked to being cancer causing. This book will turn your whole thought process around. You will come away from it much stronger and be able to stop the mind and body deterioration that stress creates.

This book was easy to read and had many ideas to make simple changes to decrease stress - like simple breathing exercises that I am now doing every day. It has opened my eyes to realize that many illnesses and disease may have roots in our daily lifestyle choices. Definitely a book to share with those you care about.

I do not have a scientific mind, but this book was easy to understand and apply to my life! It is filled with logic, applicable suggestions, and enjoyable true-life stories. I would say Dr. Rashidian is just as good as story-teller as his father, as described in the introduction.

I purchased The StressProof Life book because I was interested in continuing on improving my health emotionally & physically. I have listened to some of Dr. Rashidian's talks & find them very informative & helpful. I find that reading this book & applying the information to my life has been very rewarding. He reiterates the information that he has taught me over the approximately 6 years that I have been his patient. It helps me to handle stress if I follow his advice especially concerning proper way of breathing, exercising, etc. This book is written as if he is there talking directly to you. He is very "passionate about chiropractic, healthcare, and prevention of disease" and I must add he gives God the credit which greatly impressed me. Dr. Rashidian is highly educated in his field. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is serious about their overall health.

This book has changed my way of thinking and handling stress. Everyone has stress in their lives and Dr. Rashidian's book gives you the tools to handle your stress and make it work for your good. Dr. Rashidian is highly intelligent and very gifted. His book is easy to read and full of information, including not only the how we should stressproof our life, but the reasons and science behind it. He writes with honesty, humor and hope for change. This book is amazing if you live the life as most of us do - kids, house, work x2, education, bills to pay and places to be. I think we all want to, and honestly do our best to, reduce stress and live healthier. What Dr. Rashidian points out is we are close, but not quite. We need to make our bodies more able to handle stress, not reduce it at all!! Love the 3 minute ideas - finally!! someone gets that a 20 minute exercise block is no where near 20 minutes - it's more like an hour…

I just finished this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. The beginning story of your life brought tears to my eyes, and the ending where you found God and Jesus was very inspiring. I totally agree with everything you say, and learned some new things in “The Simple Seven.” I’ve been working on this revolution for about 40 years now. Years ago I realized our medical system was geared to managing/treating disease not maintaining health. This information will provide anyone a roadmap to improve your odds of living a better quality, healthful life, in spite of constant stress.
