Scents & Sweets competition. This annual competition and auction is open to professional and amateur bakers and florists, and features gingerbread structures and floral arrangements. Remembrance service. Hospice of Frederick County hosts this annual service open to anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one and wants to commemorate his or her life during an evening of music, candlelight and personal reflection. Frederick by candlelight. The annual Candlelight House Tour features eight homes built between the late 1700s and the mid-1900s in downtown Frederick. The self-guided tour takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $25 in advance, or $30 the day of the tour.
